Supercrawl is proud to present Dwayne Gretzky’s 99 Songs Telethon this Victoria Day weekend. It’s a free, live virtual broadcast on Sunday, May 23, starting at 4pm Eastern and going all day and night until they riff off 99 of “the Great Ones”, aka their blend of classics and deeper cuts from mostly the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
The 99 Songs Telethon supports Community Food Centres Canada who build health, belonging and social justice in low-income communities nationally through the power of food.
This all-star lineup of Toronto musicians has earned a well-deserved reputation across Canada as a killer live band. Having presented Dwayne Gretzky in October 2019, Supercrawl has been been looking forward to bringing the band back to Hamilton and the festival is hopeful we can make it work in the near future. In the meantime, the 99 Songs Telethon is their (all-day!) follow up to their epic five-hour NYE virtual broadcast that counted down to midnight in all Canadian time zones and drew 150K viewers.
The live broadcast will be hosted in accordance with Ontario’s health & safety guidelines for film & television productions. (The event’s COVID-19 protocol policy is available for download on the band’s website.)
