Call for Artists: Fashion Designers & Brands
Supercrawl is pleased to release its Call for Designers for 2026. Supercrawl is a free annual outdoor art and music festival in downtown Hamilton, which showcases a diverse and dynamic lineup of music, art, fashion, performance, talks, crafts, food and fun. Supercrawl 2026 will take place on James Street North from September 11–13, 2026.

What Are We Looking For?
Supercrawl invites designers to participate in this year’s festival. Collections by designers are selected based on artistic merit, originality, and ability to integrate within the festival’s scale and energy. We also invite local apparel brands and boutiques to participate in a showcase representing our diverse fashion community.
Supercrawl was founded out of a desire to showcase the city’s cultural vibrancy and eclectic arts landscape, and remains dedicated to honouring, showcasing and celebrating all varieties of creative work. Supercrawl prioritizes curating a diverse and representative festival lineup. We recognize our responsibility to amplify voices that have traditionally been marginalized, both in our communities and in society as a whole.
Supercrawl is committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility, and strives to create an environment in which all participants may flourish. We are committed to removing systemic barriers to access and opportunity, and welcome artistic proposals from all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, or economic status. Submissions will be evaluated and selected by a small jury of artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
Fees & Resources
Supercrawl will be assigning significant resources to promotion of the event and associated designers and brands leading up to the festival, and during the event. The festival will provide signage, produce posters and handbills, and include programming details both in printed materials and on the Supercrawl website. On-street audiences during the festival are estimated at approximately 90,000 people per day. A green room facility for dressing, hair and make-up will be provided. Designers are welcome to bring their own hair and makeup teams.
Dates & Location
Fashion showcases will take place Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13 in the Supercrawl Fashion Zone, in an outdoor tented runway (20′ x 80′ with T-shaped catwalk, sound system & stage lighting, plus sitting/standing room for 200 people) erected on street level within the Supercrawl street enclosure.

Designers and their work will be identified and publicized as official Supercrawl fashion designers during the event, on the Supercrawl website, and in select media releases. Designers will be required to sign a contract with Supercrawl Productions related to their participation in the show. Further details, schedule and specifics will be provided upon contract signing. A commitment deposit will be required at time of contract, to be returned to the designer in full after the show. Schedule and runway time slot will depend on submissions received and is up to the discretion of festival programmers.

Deadline for submissions: Friday, February 27, 2025 at 11:59pm ET. Late submissions will not be considered.
Successful applicants will be contacted by April 2026. We thank all applicants, but due to a high number of applications, only those selected by programmers will be contacted.
Open Calls for Fashion Vendors and Models will open separately to this call, typically in late July/early August. Watch Supercrawl socials for more info.
Designers are encouraged to contact the programmers to receive clarification and/or additional information as needed to develop proposals.
