Foreign Waves International founders Kadeem Jarrett and Michael St. Jean grew up in downtown Hamilton. Grade school friends who would soon grow together as brothers found common interest in many things including music, photography, and fashion. Sharing a similar cultural background and residing in one of Canada’s hotbeds for immigrants new to the country would mark the true beginning of the wave that is Foreign Waves International. Foreign Waves is at heart a lifestyle brand representing unity and celebrating all peoples around the world. Taking inspiration from the leaders in street fashion with an international twist inspires everything the designers do. Both members, though very similar represent different aspect of the brand. Wavy Free Real is the mantra and it is one that everyone can relate to, whatever their walk of life.
