Heather Valley is a singer songwriter originally from up north living in Hamilton. Her style is best described as a blend of Americana Indie and dream folk. Her major influence is Jason Molina, of Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. Heather’s songs describe an otherworld of heartbreak, a mysterious universe with a landscape carved by lost love and longing, big skies, heavy clouds above clear horizons, unending roads, con men and grifters, lovers and ghosts, promises and dreams, lies, restless horses, barren ranges and decaying cities. Her songs conjure first and last lights, dull edges and fleeting memories. They are about timelessness, loneliness, eternity. Her debut record, Desert Message, is slated for independent release in September 2019.
