Lissa Hill’s career in design is full of contrasts. After earning a degree in Fashion Design, she worked alongside a couturier in Toronto before starting her own couture bridal company, The Elusive Butterfly. While that company was in its infancy, Hill also worked at Hamilton’s IM Leathers, working on fine motorcycle leathers and road racing suits part-time while she also worked with imported laces and silks. In 2003, Hill bought her first motorcycle, and after 16 years of creating beautiful bridal gowns she shifted gears from lace to leather. Lissa Hill Leather brings together the designer’s passion for motorcycles, leather, and rock and roll. Her primary focus is on women riders, creating beautiful well-fit leathers that look feminine while protecting the rider from the road. Hill designs from a fashion background, and as a rider. The result is a unique line that protects women from the road with style. In addition to designing and creating women’s leathers, Hill also creates many one-of-a-kind mens’ vests. These gentlemen wear their vests with pride every day and on rides and many events throughout the year. If you see a guy with a vest and patches, odds are he’s wearing a Lissa Hill Leather vest.
At Supercrawl 2019, Hill will showcase a collection of corsets, biker leathers, textures, suede and furs, bad-ass beauties, motorcycles and great music! Edgy with a bit of the unexpected – a show that looks at fashion from a different perspective.
